A new year, a new vision for the UK waste and resources industry
-
As we step into 2025, SUEZ is bringing together some of the brightest minds, passionate advocates, and leading experts on the UK waste and resource sector for an exploration of the year ahead and what it might mean for businesses, local authorities and the general public.
With the impending introduction of Simpler Recycling from March 2025 there should be plenty to discuss. But combine that with DEFRA’s new Circular Economy Task Force, preparation for the roll-out of the deposit return scheme (DRS), increasing concerns about the emissions trading scheme (ETS) and its impact on service costs, plus a heightened political desire for economic growth and resource security - and the scope for the conversation could fill several hours.
The coming year is shaping up to be defined by policy shifts, stricter regulations, and more innovative approaches in the handling and treatment of our waste materials. This brings both opportunities and challenges in equal measure.
This session will not only identify some of the relevant reforms heading our way but also reflect on how the waste and resource sector can drive progress toward a more sustainable future—one that delivers decarbonisation, greater circularity, and improved resource resilience.
Join our expert panel for the first webinar of 2025, which will help set the tone for what promises to be a transformative year.
