SUEZ signs Armed Forces Covenant
With 5,400 employees nationwide and over 100 veterans currently on staff, SUEZ understands the technical expertise and valuable experience that veterans can bring to the workplace.
The Armed Forces Covenant is a voluntary pledge that aims to ensure that current or past service members and their families are treated with respect and fairness by the communities, businesses and people that they courageously volunteered to serve. By signing the Armed Forces Covenant, SUEZ is committing to uphold its key principles by encouraging the employment of veterans of all ages, offering flexibility in granting leave and supporting employees who choose to continue to serve as a member of the Reserve forces.
Signing the Armed Forces Covenant is the latest milestone in an ongoing effort to encourage inclusivity and respect of veterans across the business, following on from the launch of the SUEZ veterans group last year. The group aims to bring together veterans from across the company to offer guidance and support on common issues like accessing pension entitlements, applying for a veteran’s badge and improving wellbeing.
